Moorish Religion

After the arrival of the prophet Muhammad and his teachings, Islam erupted out of its birthplace into the surrounding areas. Muslim warriors charged into the territories of North Africa, conquering vast lands as they went. The Moors living in this area converted to Islam immediately and adopted the Arabic language as their own. The moors became so dedicated to their religion, that even today Moor is sometimes used as a synonym to any Muslim in general.
